How to Set Up Sound Barriers
Sound barriers are acoustic blankets or panels that reduce noise from generators, equipment and job sites — useful for noise-sensitive areas and code compliance.

Step by step
Identify the noise source
Determine what's generating the noise and the direction you need to block (toward homes, offices, etc.).
Choose placement
Position barriers between the source and the area you're protecting, as close to the source as safely possible.
Mount securely
Hang or fasten the acoustic blankets/panels to fencing or frames so they're stable and won't fall.
Maintain clearances
Keep required clearance from hot surfaces and don't obstruct equipment air intakes or exhaust.
Check coverage
Walk the protected side to confirm gaps are covered — sound leaks through openings.
